Real Madrid's winger Offers Regret to Real Madrid Fans

The forward has registered 5 finishes in 10 Spanish league matches so far this term.

Real Madrid winger Vinicius Jr has expressed regret to fans for his response when replaced in the recent fiery match against Barcelona win.

Vinicius was replaced in the second half and displayed his annoyance by walking immediately to the dressing room.

Vinicius eventually reappeared to the bench and, after his side's 2-1 victory, attempted to approach the opposition's youngster Yamal during contentious final whistle exchanges.

"Today I want to express regret to all the Real Madrid fans for my reaction when I was substituted in the derby," the player posted on social media.

"Similarly to I have previously expressed during today's practice, I would like to express regret anew to my colleagues, the team, and the leadership.

"Sometimes passion gets the better of me because I always want to win and support my team. My determined nature stems from the affection I feel for this institution and everything it symbolizes."

Vinicius joined Real from his former club in 2018 for a significant fee and has scored 111 goals in more than 300 games.

But his career in the Spanish capital is far from certain with rumors in recent months suggesting that Real would consider permitting the player leave if they got a suitable offer.

When he was taken off on the match day, broadcast footage from coverage provider Dazn picked him up stating: "Again me! I'm exiting the club! It's wiser if I leave, I'm going."

In his new statement on X, he said: "I promise to keep striving constantly for the benefit of the club, as I have performed since the initial arrival."
