Discover Twenty-Nine Fresh Game Cards from Magic's TMNT Expansion (Featuring a Commander Deck!)
Everyone's favorite pizza-eating heroes are making their way to Magic: The Gathering. The popular trading card game's publisher, the game's creators, revealed a highly anticipated Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles collaboration during a special event held at New York Comic Con. Could this be a exciting new set or simply another crossover marketing move? We'll let you be the judge.
Take a look here at all the details revealed from the Magic x Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles collaboration, along with some useful background. Everything mentioned here launches on March 6th, 2026, with one exception — a special Pizza Bundle drops a couple of weeks after on March 27.
MTG x TMNT: Main Set Reveals
Before we get into the many unique products and collections on offer, let’s take a look at all the cards from the main Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles expansion that were revealed by the developers. Play boosters for the set are priced at $6.99 per pack, while premium boosters should run $37.99 per pack.
Let's unpack a couple of surprising features. First, a new gameplay mechanic called Sneak, inspired by the already established Ninjutsu, in which gamers can cheat big creatures into the battlefield when an attacker isn’t blocked. The big difference here is that Sneak can apply to spells that aren’t creatures as well. Wizards also took the opportunity to refine the mechanic a little (It counts as casting, unlike Ninjutsu). The original ability isn't going away, but it's more likely we'll see the new mechanic in future sets from now on.
Should we go back to Kamigawa, we might use the original ability since that plane is it was developed and it is iconic of that world,” a senior game designer stated. “However in other settings, since the rules are cleaner and Sneak is what's going to be Standard-legal, it's more likely we’ll use Sneak.”
That second variant of Leonardo, Sewer Samurai card, is one of four cards with unique artwork designed specifically for the set by Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles co-creator the co-creator.
Additionally, if you're shocked by the rules text on Turtles Forever card, which lets you play game cards outside of your deck, so was I. Yet according to Wizards, it’s now a legal card in every format of Magic.
Anyway, below are the extremely bizarre land cards with full art from this set:
Following Wizards of the Coast's current policy, all these cards are fully legal in Magic’s Standard format. Developers say they took care to make sure the new cards and gameplay elements meshed well with current Standard expansions like Edge of Eternities.
“I led the development for 15 months and we were aware it was going to be Standard-legal and what other sets would be alongside it in standard,” the designer says. “Our goal was to make sure that there's synergy with some of those sets like Edge of Eternities.”
As an instance, both TMNT and Edge of Eternities feature a blue-red strategy built around artifacts.
“They combine to offer the pieces for a enjoyable Standard-legal deck,” he says.
Preconstructed Commander: Turtle Power!
Following a decision to design any pre-constructed Commander decks for the Spider-Man set and the forthcoming Avatar: The Last Airbender expansions, Wizards is changing direction with Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. This time it’s just a single precon, but it does come with six distinct legendary cards who could work as your Commander based on how you combine them (five of the cards include a unique Partner mechanic named “Character Select” that lets you start with two commanders in the command zone rather than only one). Take a look for yourself:
The Turtle Power deck is set at $69.99, though the price may rise due to popularity. Wizards indicated that it contains 43 new cards in total, which translates to an extra 37 Turtle-themed cards besides the six legendary creatures shown earlier. (Doing some rough math, this suggests approximately 20 reprints if we assume the deck comes with 37 land cards.)
What will the TMNT edition of the iconic Sol Ring appear? Fans must wait and find out.

Pizza Bundle
This is a unique concept for the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles collaboration, primarily because it comes in a box resembling a pizza box. Every pizza-themed bundle is priced at $99.99 and comes with the following:

If you’re wondering about the “Pizza Bundle promo card” means, it’s basically a reprint of an older card with all-new TMNT artwork. Wizards showed an example for the well-known Magic card Dark Ritual featuring art of master Splinter sprinkling toppings onto a pizza slice. There are six different pizza promos available.
This special bundle releases a couple of weeks later than the core set on March 27, 2026.

Cooperative Play Set
Finally, Wizards are introducing a new concept with Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles as in line with its continued initiative to create Magic game products specifically for new players. Here, the cooperative set is a unique product of prebuilt decks that let you and a friend join forces against a “Boss” deck that plays automatically.
The general idea here that each Boss card grants special abilities to the creatures included in the boss deck. The Boss automatically plays an additional card each turn, and players begin battling {one Boss|
